Ack, I tried commenting on this a few days ago, but I think my comment was lost in the internet shuffle.

Ack, that sucks :( I wish there was a better way to mark frequent commenters as "OMG NOT SPAM!" I hope other legit comments haven't gotten accidently marked as spam...

I can certainly understand wanting to just play games without any baggage

I can too, and it's a view I held to a certain degree before. I don't begrudge Faith her chosen path, and I am frankly a little hurt that she labeled me as such after I have tried my hardest to be nice to her.

Ack, I tried commenting on this a few days ago, but I think my comment was lost in the internet shuffle.

I think it's unfortunate that Faith feels that feminism is causing trouble for women gamers in the gaming community--but obviously, I feel that feminism has personally helped me a lot.

I can certainly understand wanting to just play games without any baggage--however, I really feel that's a privilege that isn't always available to girl and women gamers. In a gender neutral game, yes, but in a game misogynistic tones--well, that's hard to ignore.
